Birthday Bonanza Project #2

Yesterday was "MOJO" MONDAY creative cards classes and we had a blast!

The majority favorite card was this one....

I LOVE using color & just solid card stocks! Especially with the new Greys! Can you say YUM???

The Colors I used were: Whisper, Slate, Pear, Smoothie & Creme Brulee!

Products Used:
*NEW* Whisper Ink
*NEW* Slate Ink

D1399 DREAM Big My Acrylix Stamp (Set of 36)

 DIRECTIONS:

  • First you'll need White cardstock & a variety of additional colors of inks & coordinating cardstocks.
  • Both the Oval's are cut from the Artiste Cartridge. The word bubble that coordinates with the "you make me smile" is 1-3/4" and the Oval behind it is also 1-3/4".
  • All the colored pieces of cardstock are sanded to give a "Distressed" look. Our cardstock is wonderful for this because the while core shows through!
  • The Circle is a 1" Circle & the scallop circle is 1-1/4"
  • Cut a piece of white that is 4" x 5-1/4" to go on the front of the card. Stamp the chevron border & don't worry about lining it up because the words will cover it. :0)
  • The Pear (green) piece is 2-3/4" x 5", sand this and then random stamp it with the same color ink to give it more detail with the "FUNNY" words of both Dream Big & the National Stamping campaign.
  • Before you adhere the Pear piece, using the smoothie bakers twine create a "Faux" knot by fussy cutting it & wrapping it behind. Then add 2 knots. This will provide less bulk & give you nicer looking knots than if you wrapped it all the way around.
  • Using a skinny scrap, cut a 2" piece and cut out 2 "Chevrons" to make the little tails.
  • Stamp the Frog from Dream Big. I just LOVE how these 2 sets coordinate together. Color in his spots & out line with a .01 lining pen if you'd like.
  • Add a Creme Brulee flower with a Glue Dot & then one of the NEW chunky sparkles - LOVE them!!!
  • Finish Assembly & Enjoy!!!
